After a long hiatus we've finally been able to return to the site. We've all been a bit busy lately and unfortunately had to let the site go untouched for several months. Now that we've got a bit more free time, we're hoping to get some new reviews done and catch up on some stuff. Disregard the posts underneath this one as the last one was made in March. Yeah, it's been a while.

Anyway, for those who have been checking back for updates, we appreciate it. Everything is a bit dead right now as we've clearly been a little out of the loop. Don't worry though, we've got plenty of things in store. The inFAMOUS review and video review are now up, so be sure to check those out. We will also be posting a review of Red Faction: Guerilla soon, along with plenty of news stories as well as some new podcasts and an overhaul on several sections of the site. So, be sure to check back!

In one of the most exciting announcements in recent months, Rockstar Games via a press release, has officially announced that Max Payne 3 is in the works and will be hitting the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this winter. Let me first start by saying "YES!" and "about damn time!". Not much info about the game was revealed in the press release other than a few small plot elements:

"Since leaving the NYPD and New York itself behind, Max has drifted from bad to worse. Double-crossed and a long way from home, Max is now trapped in a city full of violence and bloodshed, using his weapons and instincts in a desperate search for the truth and a way out."

It looks as though the once Xbox 360 exclusive Ninja Gaiden 2 will indeed be heading to the PS3, under the name of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and will come complete with several upgrades.

Here are some of the translations from the original article:
- It will be an upgraded version of Ninja Gaiden 2 (not a direct port)
- Set to release in autumn 2009
- The magazine will be reporting new elements in coming issues
- Producer and director: Yosuke Hayashi (From Sigma)
- Development: Team Ninja

A few new features will include:
- New weapon - spiked hammer "Genma"
- New giant boss battles not in the 360 version

Several days ago a rough viral trailer was released for Dead Rising 2 and today it's been confirmed as legit by Capcom. The game has also been confirmed to be coming out on the Xbox 360, PC and PS3.

A few details have also been released. Apparently the game will take place several years after the events of Dead Rising, in a place called Fortune City (complete with casinos, in case you couldn't guess). The game is being developed by Blue Castle, with Keiji Inafune as producer. More info will hopefully be coming soon.

EA CEO John Riccitiello has revealed some interesting news regarding the release of Mass Effect 2. Apparently it will be coming in Q4 (which I assume means Q4 of their fiscal year) and will be coming on "multiple platforms". Nothing specific was mentioned, but it sounds to me like Mass Effect 2 will indeed be hitting the PS3 as many have been speculating.

Some good news has come from SCEA associate producer Mike Graham. It looks like Killzone 2 will be making it's expected release date of February 27 after all, because the game has officially gone gold.

Be sure to check this game out when it hits shelves as it's looking to be quite promising. Early magazine reviews have been nothing but positive, so let's hope it turns out to be as good as we're all hoping. You'll be able to see our full review shortly after release, so check back.

Some interesting and rather surprising news has come from Ubisoft today. Apparently the game I Am Alive, which was announced not too long ago will actually be coming much sooner than most had anticipated. After recent reports stating that the game would be hitting store shelves in Q1 of 2009, Ubisoft clarified that it will actually be coming during Calender Q1, which means it should be available by the end of March.

So far, we've seen very little of the game outside of the initial teaser trailer so hopefully more information, including some videos and screenshots, will be coming soon. This is definitely one that I'll be checking out.

After much speculation the North American demo for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 has finally been given an official date. According to Capcom, it will be hitting Xbox Live on January 26 and the PlayStation Store on February 5.

The demo will include 2 playable levels and three co-op modes (single-player with AI support, two-player split-screen offline co-op on same console, two-player online co-op over network). Should make for an exciting demo so be sure to check it out when it hits.
