Guitar HeroNew Guitar Hero 4 details have arrived in the June edition of Game Informer magazine. First off, Guitar Hero 4 will be coming on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PS2. All versions are said to have the same features, although the Wii and PS2 versions will obviously be a bit toned down. It has also been restated that Guitar Hero 4 will indeed feature other instruments, such as drums, bass and vocals. You will be able to customize the sound of your instrument and create your own rocker.

Sounding a bit like Rock Band? Well, Guitar Hero 4 does have one cool new feature- song creation. Players will be able to create, record, and share their own songs. The only limitation is that you cannot record vocals, due to storage and copyright issues. You and will be able to create up to 5 songs which you can share with others over at GH Tunes.

Other players will then be able to give your songs a rating, and if you get high enough ratings on your songs you'll have the ability to upload about ten more songs. To give your songs a personal touch, you'll be able to name them (that would seem like kind of a given) and also create album art.

Nothing specific from the track listing has been revealed yet, although it has been confirmed that all songs are master tracks. The magazine did say though that Van Halen, Linkin Park, Sublime and the Eagles will all be featured. Sounds like a... nice variety?

Guitar Hero 4 will also feature yet another guitar design from Red Octane which is said to have an innovative input mechanic subject for patent.
