Alone in the Dark - New trailer

Alone in the DarkWe've already seen a few gameplay trailers for Alone in the Dark, but now a CG trailer has been released. The trailer shows Central Park transforming from a peaceful daytime scene into night, where the lead character is running for his life while the ground is splitting in two right in front of him. He then tosses a vile of... something and shoots it, causing a big explosion. So... there's not much to actually draw from there, but it still looks cool. Check it out below:  read more »

Super Smash Bros. Smashes Sales Records

Super Smash Bros. BrawlREDMOND, Wash., March 17, 2008 – After just one week on store shelves, Super Smash Bros.® Brawl for Wii has become the fastest-selling video game in Nintendo of America's history. Since its launch on March 9, the feature-packed fighting action game has sold more than 1.4 million units in the United States, including more than 874,000 on March 9 alone. It has sold at a rate of more than 120 units per minute between launch and March 16.

"Super Smash Bros. Brawl has made the leap from video game to cultural phenomenon," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "Game reviewers and the public alike praise its fun game play and extensive, inventive content."

Guitar Hero 3: World record for highest score set by 16 year old

Guitar Hero 3With the Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition coming out later this year, we've been hearing about all kinds of gaming-related world record attempts lately. Well the most recent was the world record for the highest score in Guitar Hero 3. Mario Kart WiiGood news for Wii owners today, Mario Kart Wii has been given an official release date. It will be arriving on store shelves in the U.S. on April 27th.

Phil Harrison is now the president of Infogrames

Phil HarrisonPhil Harrison left Sony a couple weeks ago and we didn't hear much from him after that. Everyone was kind of wondering where he was going. Well, today it was announced that he is the new president of Infogrames. His goals for the company seemed to revolve around creating casual and family-oriented games.

Harrison said:
